SFC #40: Snarf and Drive-in Movie

Like with anything new, there’s always the danger that it won’t work.  There was a risk in introducing a new game to the group.  I’m not sure why I was nervous because clearly Marko was born to play Snarf.  From the internal countdown in his head to the slapping of any object to denote he was due points, Bob destroyed the game.  A skill he definitely doesn’t have in washers.  Heck, it’s almost a miracle when he gets the washer TO the board.

Some key moments:

• There were some hit or miss moments for Terry, but fortunately he ended up in the positive by games end.
• Kudos to Greg for winning the “longest drive” award again.  Oh, and well done in helping Marko with the Sigfried and Roy reference.
• Bob’s robotic contribution to the Autorap will forever live on.
• Scott’s hand sanitizer snafu reeks of good intentions.

Sorry for the sucky movie.  Ant Man was kinda like watching a horse with only two legs…it didn’t go anywhere.

40 down, 40+ to go yada yada cliche Bob Cratchet.

What a beautiful summer night in Michigan.  We ended up with perfect temperature to catch a drive-in movie and hang outside.

The word competition was very clever.  Somehow I knew I might come out on top.  For goodness sake, Siegfried & Roy?  But you know, play to the weaknesses, deception/psychology.  I can’t believe I said Barney…it goes both ways.

If there was a career where you could drop random words into conversations or get others to say those random words Bob would be a millionaire!   Damn stupid useless knowledge…  Bob exploited that with me to get 20 points.   Loved Scotty smacking the table and startling the entire bar.  Great laid back event that was an actual audible.   Way to be prepared with alternatives Markie.

How is it that the person that lived 2 minutes away had to leave early?   I think that should be a penalty.   You made up for it with your audible autorap messages.

Here’s to the next 40…   Hope Terry’s hammy is healed before the Olympics.
